Birth of the Universe & Natural Consciousness

This endless and eternal universe was born out of silent and vibrating emptiness (Shunya). The same silent and vibrating shunya is present in the sensitivity of the human body and Pragnya in the brain. By discovering the same Pragnya and not relying on any other external aid, a Rishi (sage) witnessed the birth of the universe 25,000 years ago and wrote his inner experiences in Wrigveda under the title "Nasdiya Sukt". The scientists of today may refer to the same and confirm that whatever they have found till date agrees with the same. "Nasdiya Sukt" can be found in the 129th verse of the 10th chapter of Wrigveda, which is available in the print today. There is no way to know who wrote it because the Rishi has not written his name. This is, however, a fact that about 22,000 to 25,000 years ago, the words were used only for practical purposes and signals in daily life and the "mind" (illusory "I") was not created. People were living in Pragnya and capable of witnessing the truth.

Vedas Have it All

We can see that creation of the words goes back to approx.23,000 years B.C. because many shlokas (Sanskrit verses) in Wrigveda from that time describe exact location of planets and stars. The science may verify these facts. We shall reproduce some of these verses with their translation and meaning.

Verse (Mantra) I:

Nasdasinno Sadachittadani Nasindra jo jo Veyom Paroyam,
Kimavarimah Kutkasya Sharmannam Kimasiddha Gahan Gambhiram.

Means, at that time, when the universe was born, there was neither the truth nor illusion. There were no people. There was no sky and nothing beyond. Who covered that (such situation) at that time? What was it that sounded so deep and solemn; and for whose happiness?

Verse (Mantra) II:

Na Mrityu Raasibhootam Na Taahi Na Raatra Anha Asit Praketah,
Anidavaat Svadhata Tadekam Tasmadvanyanaya Parah Kinvanas.

Means, there was neither death nor life at that time. There did not seem any signs to identify the day and night. At that time, He (It) , by its own power was vibrating without any air. Really, at that time, there was nothing that was separate from Him.

Verse (Mantra) III:

Tam Aasanti Masa Mool Hamgradeprakantam Salilam Sarvma Idam,
Trisch Yonamba Vihitam Yadasit Pasasst Tamhina Jaayate Kamh.

Means, There was a darkness at the beginning of the universe. This darkness was hollow and intricate. It was impossible to understand it. It was illusory. Whatever that could have been made out of unevenness was sustained by the ascendancy of a great heat.

Verse (Mantra) IV:

Kaamastdagre Samvartaadhi Manso Raitah Prathmah Yadasit,
Suto Bandhumasati Nir Vindan Eidi Pratishya Kavyo Manisha.

Means, Whatever was in the mind (fundamental mind) in the form of a seed was evolved in to movement later on. The poet, with an awareness of Pragnya, came to know that the reason for existence of truth (present universe) is tied up with the illusion having an intention (the truth is there because of illusion).

Verse (Mantra) V:

Nirashchino Vitito Rasmiresha Madhah Swidaasi Dupari Swidaasit,
Raitodha Aasanmahiman Aasanravandha Avastha Praarthaarth Parastat.

Means, their rays are spread out. Are they winding? Are they above? Are they underneath? The ones who carried the seeds just existed and grew up. The ones who gave themselves away became small. The ones who made efforts became big and significant. Whoever got caught in the self, turned small and insignificant. However, the ones who engulfed others unto themselves grew big.

Verse (Mantra) VI:

Ko Addha Veda Ka Eih Pravochtakun Aajaata Kuva Ethah Vshrishtiah,
Aarvaagdeva Asya Visargenainaay Ko Veda Yat Abbhoorva.

Means, where has this unique universe (creation) come from? Who knows this for sure and in depth? Who is so capable of addressing this subject in this world? Due to the grand creation of this universe, even the demi-gods should be considered new. Means, demi-gods got created after the creation of this universe. Who knows the creator of this universe? (Anthropic Principle).

Verse (Mantra) VII:

Ethah Vshristiryat Aabbhhova Yadi Va Dadhe Ya Diwaan,
Yo Asyadakshah Parmaivyonso Adda Gaveda Yadiva Na Vedah.

Means, whether the one who created this universe, sustains it or not? Whoever is the ruler of this universe and of this sky, He may (or may not) know the truth for sure.

These are the mantras from the 129th verse in the 10th chapter of Wrigveda. This is known as "Nasdiya Sukt". The Vedas have been recited in India for thousands of years. Earlier, in the Guru-Shishya (Master- Disciple) tradition the mantra was passed orally from one generation to another. Later on, as the language developed, they were written on leather in 6000 B.C.. In this century, in 6 A.D., Shankracharya gathered all available texts and compiled them in order. When printing was invented, they were brought in the form of books as we see them now.

The secrets of the origin of the universe and position of planets and stars were witnessed (through thoughtless awareness) by the sages (in the state of Pragnya) and the mode to present them was through word-bound thoughtlessness. We shall see how this happened. First, let us simplify the meaning of the above mantras.

The Earth, Moon, other planets and stars nothing existed at the time of origin of the universe. There was no sky either; and there was nothing beyond. We may comprehend that someone has given a sheath to this event (or situation) but where this sheath was made and for whose satisfaction is a subtlety (unknown). Whatever was there was neither true nor illusory. It was something beyond the words and forms of expression. What was that, could not be understood , but kept on making a deep and solemn sound (vibration)? There was no death and no life. There was no way (sun) to understand if it was day or night. At that time, He (It) was vibrating (or breathing) on his (its) own energy in an atmosphere which had no air. It is true that at the time of creation of the universe, there was nothing so extraordinary but just an existence (since there was nobody to see, i.e no duality, the existence was the awareness itself).

At the beginning of the universe, there was absolute darkness. This darkness was deep and profound (something was there) but could not be deciphered. Since it was born out of odds, it was called "Aabhu". A ball of air, that contained the elements as light as a cotton seed, was created by its own heat. The way a human turns from a seed to a working creature, the truth is formed due to illusion. The poet (Rishi) has experienced this in his heart due to Pragnya-bound thoughts. Whether the rays of this blob were either bent or spread upward, underneath could not be understood. However, some ray-elements from this blob were contained unto themselves and became small (planets) and the ones who merged with others, became big (stars). The one, for whom this extraordinary universe is created, is sustaining this universe or not? Whoever is sovereign of this universe, or this sky, may (or may not) know the truth. Who knows for sure where this unique universe has come from? Who is there in this (present) world to correctly narrate this creation? Even the demi-gods and devas are insignificant for they were created after the creation of this universe. Nobody is there to know for whom this universe was created?

Evolution Unfolded

In the year 1805, telescopic studies made by British astronomer Herschel made it clear that universe was not confined to our solar system. The solar system itself was only a part of a much larger star system called Galaxy. Then in 1925 the American astronomer Edwin. P. Hubble pointed out that there were other galaxies in the universe and that the universe actually consisted of millions of Galaxies like the Milky Way. In 1929 Hubble proved that these Galaxies were flying away from each other. This meant that the universe is expanding like a balloon that is being blown up. Abbe Georges Lemaitre, a Belgian astronomer, explained this process of expansion in what is known as the Big Bang theory. He argued that billions of years ago, cosmic matter (universe) was in extremely compressed state, from which expansion started by a primordial explosion. This explosion broke up the "superdense ball" and cast its fragments far out into space, where they are travelling at thousands of kms per second. It is from these speeding fragments of matter that our galaxies have been formed.

The latest theory of evolution of the universe was advocated by Dr. Alan Sandage. According to him the universe is pulsating and continuously expands and contracts alternatively between periods running into billions of years. Dr. Sandage thinks that some 12 billion years ago a great explosion occurred in the universe and the universe is since expanding. It is likely to go on expanding for 29 billion years more, when gravitation will halt further expansion. From then on, all matter will begin to contract and collapse upon itself.

The above findings point towards exactly what Rishi has said in "Nasdiya Sukt".

The scientists have tried to define the age of the Earth through Carbon dating and found out that it could be around 4.6 billion years. There was Earth even before that but in liquid form. Prior to that, it was a condensed blob of air that was supposed to be a separated chip of the Sun. When advanced mathematics was invented and principles like theory of relativity were established, it was assumed that the age of the Sun was approx. 2 billion years. The recent studies have, however, shown that the age of the Sun could be as much as 4 to 5 billion years. The scientists have taken in to account the composition of the Sun from Hydrogen (35%) and its rate of conversion into Helium (1%). Prior to the Sun, there was nothing and that is what the Rishi has said.

At the beginning of the Universe, all these stars were so fluid that they were like a wave of dense air. Density of this cosmic air (matter) was approx. 90.23. The scientists could not name it for it was neither matter nor liquid. They have, therefore, named this hair thick cosmic density as "Ylem" after Yale university. The summary of the modern science is that after the Big Bang, the suspended blob must have been cool and fluid. As the separated chunks started pulling at each other, it might have contracted in size and later started heating up at the centre due to atmospheric pressure. When the surface pressure was balanced with the gravitational forces, it balanced in the solar system and started revolving around the centre of the Galaxy. That must have been our Sun from which the life on Earth came forth. The Rishi had said that the Sun sustains the Earth and, in turn, the Galaxy sustains the Sun. They further say that the Galaxy is sustained by the ruler (creator) of this universe.

Knowledge Beyond the Words

Now, we shall try to understand the word "knowledge" and its mediums. For any kind of knowledge brain is a necessity. The brain can absorb knowledge through three unique ways;

Absolute knowledge that comes from beyond
The knowledge (wordless) dawned in Awareness (Pragnya)
Logical thoughts and imagination

The Rishi's way is the second way; that pertains to thoughtless, sensitive Pragnya. The scientists and other people make use of the last one; through word-bound thoughts and imagination. The present education system, reading, learning etc. contribute to the same. What is more significant is the first one; knowledge (from a source other than ours) appearing in the live moment. This require a state of consciousness that is one with the live moment. In this state, the consciousness just exists. There are no thoughts, imagination, or self. There is no body to see anything or experience anything. That is when the brain is connected to the whole universe and universal knowledge just starts appearing.

An unknown power takes control of the brain and bestows the absolute knowledge (sort of telepathic phenomenon) that is beyond the words, thoughts and any other form. Sometimes, the scientists get it too but they do not realize it. You must have noticed, whenever there is a new discovery or an invention, the scientists will name that to an "unknown" inspiration (besides the scientific facts). Even if we analyze the history of past inventions, we shall realize that "one particular idea" or concept came to many scientists or people at one time. In olden days, communication facilities were not efficient and the exchange could not take place but even today when a scientist comes up with an instinctive theory, other responses start coming in from different parts of the world. This is a broad example of knowledge being given by higher powers in the state of total submission (during the work) or thoughtlessness.

Such examples are stated with proofs in a book called "Living Past". By such incidents, the belief gets stronger that some other powers in outer space get attuned by Earth?tmosphere and relay some kind of messages that are received as intuitions or insights. A scientist at work is more or less oblivious to his surroundings. This is a sort of thoughtless state of brain when the messages from higher powers are received as solutions and perceptions. The inventions are, then, presented to the world and the whole mankind benefits from them. It seems that some higher powers are working towards advancement and progress of the human race on the earth and using scientists as their mediums. If we were to name major inventions, the predominant ones will be the art of printing, wireless and satellite communications, space explorations, nuclear and quantum physics, mathematics and the research work of major scientists like Galelio, Copernicus, Darwin, Hubble, Newton, Einstein etc. that seem to have come forth extraordinarily.

Today, many scientists, as well as theologians, believe that people from outer space and other planets have visited the Earth frequently and given advance knowledge and technology. The question is, "Whether what we are doing is our own doing or someone else?ill?" In view of amazing discoveries of old and unsolved mysteries of today the latter seems to be more logical. Since there have been quite a few UFO sightings (unverifiable) in recent years, we may assume that people (?) from outer space have been coming to witness the progress of human race on the Earth. This matter can further be explored.
